Convert only the BugcheckCode field in Kernel-Power Event ID 41 between decimal and eight-digit hexadecimal. Other event numbers are not bug checks.
Protect your files first
Back up important files when possible. If the drive is encrypted, locate the BitLocker recovery key before recovery changes. Stop if storage appears to be failing or this is a work or school managed PC.
Use the tool
How to interpret the result
Event ID 41 can contain BugcheckCode as a decimal integer. For example, 159 becomes 0x0000009F. Do not convert Event ID 41 itself into a stop code.
Protect your data
This tool reads the values you enter in your browser. It does not connect to your PC, execute a command, upload a dump, or collect a recovery key. Keep passwords, product keys, and serial numbers out of public search fields.
Keep track of your checks
This checklist stays in this browser session. It is not sent to WinErrors.
